A white sculptural object in the shape of an acoustic guitar is shown lying on a light surface. The guitar has simplified, stylised details, including a flat body, a round sound hole, raised bridge, and a fretboard without marked frets. Thin white wires represent the strings, some loosely curved and not fully attached. The entire guitar is monochromatic white, creating strong shadows cast to the left due to bright directional lighting. The shadow forms an elongated, soft‑edged silhouette of the guitar’s body and neck on the background.

Artist Notes: Simon David Eden is an alumnus of the Royal College of Art. This work is a signed artist’s proof archival print on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, embossed with the studio stamp, from the Shadow Light: Songs My Brother Taught Me photographic series (limited edition of 20). The series is a tribute to the artist’s older brother and supports awareness of the Brighton‑based suicide‑prevention initiative 'Start the Conversation'.
