Artist Notes: Living beside the sea was always a childhood dream for me. Family trips to Brighton would fill me with delight – the sounds, the smells, the colours, the neon lights, vintage kitsch and the smells all so enticing.
It’s a theme I’ve returned to time and time again and finally found myself settled on the coast not far from Brighton.
The i360 or ‘The Donut’ as it’s affectionately known by the locals for some time now, strikes out huge amongst the Regency skyline and lights up the seafront. Its proportions are grand and ambitious and like the Pier and engineering feats of the Victorians.
