January 2013 update...
This quarter has seen significant changes to the staffing structure at Sussex Nightstop, with the appointment of a Service Manager and a Coordinator for West Sussex, growing the team from one part time staff member to three!
The changes go in line with the service development plans of extending the project in to West Sussex and growing the accommodation provision from one night at a time to longer term supported lodgings.
It is a good point to reflect and thank Marie our long standing coordinator for all that she has managed to achieve to date as a solo worker.
Brighton Marathon – 14 April 2013…
We’d like to thank Dougal for choosing to support Sussex Nightstop and congratulate him on completing the marathon. We are also looking for runner for the 2014 Brighton Marathon, asking runners to raise funds for the charity. Click here for photos we took on the day.
Homeless Transition Fund – August 2012
We are delighted announce that Nightstop were successful in receiving funds from Homelessness Transition Fund to help us develop the service in two areas.
1) Providing longer term accommodation in the homes of volunteers, where the volunteers will offer a ‘license agreement’ to young people and get paid rent in exchange for the room.
2) Extending the service to provide accommodation in West Sussex.
For more information on this feel free to contact us, or take a look at the Homelessness Transition Fund website.
